Opening of the TRA’s Innovation Center

H.E Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TDRA Director General, with the presence of H.E Ibrahim Abdul Malik, Secretary General of the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare, has opened an integrated center for innovation in TRA’s office in Dubai. The Center provides a creative environment that helps employees and motivates them to provide innovative ideas and solutions, through a multifunctional hall that can be rearranged for holding special brainstorming sessions and small meetings, and facilitating connection between different departments and divisions using digital solutions and smart screens


Seven entities have visited the Innovation Centre and the Interactive Theater

Opening of TRA’s Library and Smart Library

The TRA’s Library is a part of the Innovation Center. It contains a selection of books that have been carefully chosen. Additionally, the Smart Library contains more than 150 thousands books in Arabic and English covering various fields such as science, culture, science-fiction and history, in addition to a set of journals on public health, engineering, management, technology and communication, environment, nuclear and renewable energy, law and business management.


The platform of ‘Towards an Innovative Tomorrow’

The platform of ‘Towards an Innovative Tomorrow’ had been inaugurated within the events of UAE week of Innovation as per the following:

  • 22-24 November (Yas Mall Abu Dhabi)
  • 26-28 November (Mirdif City Center Dubai)

The platform featured two main activities:

  • 1- Virtual World Heroes: which is an interactive virtual reality game, specifically designed to raise awareness of the audience about cyber threats and danger resulting from the use of modern technology.
  • 2- Smart Generation: gives the children the opportunity to learn in practice how to install a robot, for the purpose of instilling the innovation culture among UAE youth, and motivating them for future creativity and excellence in the field of telecommunication and information technology.

Projects and agreements of ICT Fund

  • Signing contracts with Khalifa University
  • Funding the Ministry of Economy project ‘the Atomization of the Industrial Property Applications’»
  • Signing a sponsorship agreement for ‘Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge’

Launching ‘Raayek’ application

H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA’s Director General, launched the customers’ application “Raayek”. The application features various sections that enable users to submit improvement ideas concerning the mGovernment and TDRA services, in addition to sharing their comments about the services provided by Etisalat and Du.


Innovation and creativity workshops

  • The TDRA had organized workshops for its employees to stay updated with the corporate development of the innovation standards of corporate excellence system of the fourth generation. The training had been held for three groups, for the duration of 3 weeks/5 days.

Innovation journey through live broadcast

  • Competition on live broadcast (Noor Dubai) during the first 4 days of UAE innovation week
  • Hosting a spokesperson from TDRA on a daily basis to speak about TDRA initiatives
  • Awards: a trip to the ICT Discovery Museum in Geneva for 3 days.

Interactive Innovative forum

A Forum on the portal of TRA’s employees in which staff proposals are discussed to choose the best idea.
